Chick Blinds

Exclusive to Australia are Chick Blinds from Namay Samay, a wonderful bamboo roller shade with patterned stitching that work equally well as a shade in a casual sunny day room or as a layer behind curtains in a more formal setting. Traditionally they are a form of screen popular in Bengal placed both inside and outside the house on verandas and balconies.

The blinds are made from finely hand-cut and hand-finished bamboo, treated with fire top remove the oil before splitting. The designs are made by interweaving twine within the bamboo sticks and each blind is handmade to your specification with options for combining with any Namay Samay fabric for edging or lining.
